Everything

My friend posted this a while back and it affected me so much that I want to share it with others.

The song is 'Everything' by Lifehouse, an amazing band. The skit is very religous, I will tell you that but it doesn't have to be seen that way.

Personally, I am neither here nor there in religion but I believe that this skit has a very powerful message.

Please watch it.

I wil not give my opinion on the skit unless you want me to.

Music

WARNING
*Small Breaking Dawn spoiler*

I thought it was time I start talking about music other then Tokio Hotel (not that I really talked about them that much.... yet ;])
So I'll start with a band my Dad turned me to. Muse. He has one of their CDs and he told me to give it a listen. So I did and I liked it. But not that much. But then, Twilight came out (long story there for another time) and I got reintroduced to them. I have a song of theirs that I want to put out out there.

I heard of it on a Twlight podcast. A listener had this to say about the four movie in the saga.

"... If they had to split the movie [Breaking Dawn], it would be really cool if ending it just like in the book when Jacob's book ends. The last few minutes of the movie should be the birth mayhem, Bella's heartbeat would stop and the screen would fade to black. Then when all the people in the audience, who haven't read the book, think Bella is dead, the sound of her racing, changing heart beat would start back up and there would be a two second clip of her red eyes flashing open. Then the credits would start right after that playing the song 'New Born' by Muse."

So there you have it, where I first heard of the song. If you haven't read the book, you wouldn't get it but anyway...

Muse is a great band. They're sound is so different.

More music to come, stay tuned...

Glücklicher Geburtstag, Bill und Tom!

Happy Birthday, Bill and Tom!

Bil and Tom Kaulitz of Tokio Hotel turned 20 years old today, September first. Here is an interview with Bill.

The official birthday interview with Tokio-Bill

“There’s no point in all this f***ing around”
By Mark Pittelkau

Today, Germany’s most famous twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz from Tokio Hotel celebrate their 20th birthday!
In only four years they emerged from the Magdeburg student band to the world’s most successful German rock group, sold more than six million CDs, play sold-out tours all over the world.
BILD invited Bill Kaulitz to an intimate birthday interview. The rock star talks about:

His mirror image:
In the morning, I don’t look into the mirror and say: “Wow, you’re a hot bastard!”. I have a normal relationship to my face and my body. I feel fine.

His slim figure :
I eat almost exclusively unhealthy stuff and order one pizza after the other. I just don’t get fat. I have to disappoint you, I don’t throw up in order to be so slim.

His money:
We’re well off, but we aren’t multi-millionaires, as many think. We pass up a lot of money. I refused 90% of the advertising contracts that were offered to us, because I thought that either the brands or the products were crap. I only wanna do things I myself find good.

His luxury goods:
I spend lots of money on holidays – actually it’s already sick and completely over the top. But since I go on vacation so seldom, I want to really indulge myself there.

His status symbols:
For my school graduation I bought myself a Rolex, although I’m not interested in watches at all. I just thought it was funny to have a Rolex at 18. Completely idiotic, actually.

His sex life:
I don’t have a girl-friend and sex without love is nothing for me. My brother can waste his time on that. Some day, he’ll realize that all this f***ing around won’t bring him anything.

His preferences:
I dig beautiful hands. I always look to the hands first. And eyes are very important. I don’t care about the hair color at all.

His solitude:
When I’m alone in my hotel room after a concert, I sometimes don’t know what to do with myself. Then suddenly everything’s so quiet.

His bed-fellows:
My four dogs sleep with me in my bed. I could never do without them. The closer they are to me, the nicer it is. I only can advise everyone: Take your dogs with you to bed!

His feelings:
I have to admit, there are movies that make me cry, for example: “The notebook”. Probably many are thinking now: “Ha, we knew it: The *** cries when he’s sitting in front of the TV.”

His flaws:
I think I can be wearisome. Sometimes I’m pretty harsh in what I’m saying. Then I think afterwards, I could have kept my mouth shut.

The end of his career:
After my vocal chord surgery last year I had the urge to just walk away from everything. I thought: O God, I never want to hold my face in cameras ever again. But for me there’s only music. If I had to start a job training now, I wouldn’t know in what area.

His fears:
Generally, I’m afraid that something could happen to a person that’s close to me. I also couldn’t bear it if anything would happen to one of my dogs.

His daily schedule :
I’m a complete night person. During the album production I was most of the time in the studio till six in the morning, and then only got up again in the afternoon. Usually the only places I see of this world are airports, hotels and our venues.

His daily routine:
I haven’t been shopping by myself in years. I can’t remember when I was last in a super market. I don’t even know anymore the price of a piece of butter. You definitely can’t call my life normal any more.

His birthday:
Tom and I want to celebrate in private with friends and family. In addition, we want to rent a roller coaster place for the night. We haven’t been on a roller coaster forever. We love sh** like that.

Tokio Hotel

Two simple words that means so much to me. Tokio Hotel is a German rock band that I heard about four years ago from a friend. There is singer Bill Kaulitz (19), his twin brother and guitarist Tom Kaulitz (19), bassist Georg Listing (20) and drummer Gustav Schaefer (22). They have been a band since 2004, I think haha, and have take over the world. I would write more but I can't think of anything. More to come...

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

THE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!

Well, I saw HBP at midnight, July 14 with my best friend. And I got to say, it was amazing. Better then to five one, I hate that one but not as much and three.

Anyway, I won't go into detail for anyone who hasn't seen it and plan on it.

I then though, saw it again that Saturday with my best friend and my mom. Still awesome.

I am a bit disappointed about a few things, not how it went in the book. But there are also tons of funny bits that were priceless.

I'm going to write a super long post today for the reason of not posting spoilers.

But go see it if you haven't and if you have... go see it again!

POTC 1, 2, & 3

Pirates of the Caribbean
1, 2, & 3

POTC or Pirates as I call it, is just what the title says, a pirate movie. But not just any pirate movie. It is about a certain pirate by the name of Captain Jack Sparrow (played by the ever wonderful, Johnny Depp) and his crazy adventures. His intensions are rarely known and he seems to do everything for himself. And then there's Will Turner (played by the very hot Orlando Bloom), the blacksmith turned pirate in ordered to save the girl he loves, Elizabeth Swann (played by the lovely Keira Knightley).

On their first adventure during the first moive, Curse of the Black Pearl, Jack is trying to get his ship back, the Black Pearl, Will is trying to save Elizabeth, who had been kiddnapped by Captain Barbossa the current owner of the Black Pearl, with the help from Jack. Now, Barbossa's crew and himself are under a curse. They want the gold coin Will has and they need his blood.

I won't really tell you anymore if you wish to see the movie.

In Dead Man's Chest, Cutler Beckket, a rather sinister man, wants Jack's compass which points to the thing you want most, not North. Will and Elizabeth are sentenced to hang but if Will brings Beckket the compass, they'll go free. And there's Davy Jones, an evil pirate, the captain of the Flying Dutchman. Davy Jones wants Jack and Jack just wants rum.

Again, I won't ruin the ending.

At World's End, well, if I tell you, i'll ruin it and the last one so just go watch them, they're great. Funny, adventurous, a tad scary but overall great films.

The Hillywood Show

As the title says, this is about the Hillywood Show.

The Hillywood Show was started a few years back by two sisters, Hilary and Hannah Hindi of Las Vegas, Nevada. As an entry in a contest, they created the show with a few of their favorite movie characters. Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, Edward Scirrorhands from the movie of the same title, Willy Wonka from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Mort Rainey from Secret Window.

If you notice a pattern, you have a good eye. Most of the characters were played by Johnny Depp, a well known character actor. The Hindi Sisters love Johnny Depp and Tim Burton (Beetlejuice is another movie they use) and so use many of their movies.

Other characters they use are Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd (starring Johnny Depp and Helen Bohem Carter), Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi from Star Wars, Doc and Marty McFly from Back to the Future, Ed Wood and Dolorus from Ed Wood (staring Johnny Depp), Ichabod Crane from Sleepy Hallow (staring Johnny Depp and directed by Tim Burton), Sam and Joon from Benny and Joon (staring Johnny Depp), Napolean Dynamite, James M. Barrie from Finding Neverland (staring Johnny Depp), and of course, Jack Sparrow and Will Turner from Pirates of the Caribbean (also staring Johnny Depp).

A great list of characters, yes?

I think so. They mix them seamlessly in a crazy plot surrounding Jack and Will trying to get back to their own time. They go to Vegas, Sweeney Todd's London, chased and almost killed by the Termanator, and all with the help of Doc and his time traveling DeLorean.

To be honest, I can't remember how I came across this but I do know this, it's amazing. These two sisters are amazing actors with incredible costumes and make-up (courtesy of Hannah Hindi) and sets and locations around Vegas.

Recently, they have done two parodies, one for the highly acclaimed movie Twilight and another for top box office grossing film The Dark Knight. Both include popular songs and are in a music video form, spoofing the movies in a creative way.

I recommend this show to anyone who likes Johnny Depp, likes good acting, good sets, make-up and costumes or anyone who would appreciate a job well done.

What do this sisters have in store? Well, hopefully episode 16 of their show or maybe another parody. But which ever it is, I know I will love it.

Prolonged Camping Trip

SPOILER ALERT!
If you have not read HP & DH, please do not read on.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Harry Potter and the Prolonged Camping Trip

I do love this book. So much happens in it. And you learn a lot.

But the fact that most of the book takes place in a tent... yeah.

Don't get me wrong, I find nothing wrong with this book. It's just a little much. They could have went on more adventurey like stuff.

I keep contradicting myself. I love the book. Final answer.

Why Harry Annoys Me

SPOILER ALERT!!!
If you have not read HP & HBP, do not read on.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Why Harry annoys me.

Harry is obsessed with Draco Malfoy.

Harry thinks that Draco is up to something. Ok, great. Tell an Order member, tell Dumbledore. Don't go following him around school. He's always talking about him, what he might be doing. When I first read the book, I was waiting for the moment when Harry professed his undying love for Draco. No, really. It's ridiculous. He was right in the end, Draco was doing something. Fixing the Vanishing Cabinet so he could get the Death Eaters into Hogwarts. But come on! Harry almost missed a Quidditch match to see where he was going.

Harry, I love you, I really do but this is out of hand. What Draco Malfoy is doing is not that important. I know you're the Hero type, gotta save the world, even if you don't realize it. But don't make your #1 fan, Dobby the House-Elf and your own House-Elf, Kreacher, tale Draco and give you reports! Seriously!

Ok, moving on.

Truth Be Told...

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
My honest opinion

Well, it's a wonderful book. It starts to delve into a deeper, darker place that the first four, especially the first two, did not have. The fifth book has the topic of mental (almost) possession where Harry has glimpses into Voldemort's mind. He is terrified, naterally, but also thrilled. He so wants to see what's behind that black door.

It also explores teenage hormones. A funny situation really, Harry's first kiss.

I think it's a well written book for any age though personally, I wouldn't let my eight year old read it. If they can get through it. My ten year old cousin was having trouble getting through the first one, Sorcerer's Stone.

The books, naterally, have a magical appeal to them. I love them for their great storytelling and the characters.

I think anyone should read them, starting of course, with Sorcerer's Stone. They are wonderful books. I know some people are like, 'Oh, Harry Potter. I'm not going toread them,' because they are thinking of them movies. The movies are wonderful in their own. I love them and love watching them but there is a lot missing from the movies that are in the books. Some of that stuff is the stuff I love about the books. Like Hermione's S.P.E.W., Dobby from all but Chamber of Secerts where he's introduced, and little things like that that don't really move the story forward.

I have only read OOTP twice, I think, truth be told. My friend have read it at least four or five times. But, I don't mind, it's all fresh for me, reading it again. And I still love it.
