The Hillywood Show

As the title says, this is about the Hillywood Show.

The Hillywood Show was started a few years back by two sisters, Hilary and Hannah Hindi of Las Vegas, Nevada. As an entry in a contest, they created the show with a few of their favorite movie characters. Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, Edward Scirrorhands from the movie of the same title, Willy Wonka from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Mort Rainey from Secret Window.

If you notice a pattern, you have a good eye. Most of the characters were played by Johnny Depp, a well known character actor. The Hindi Sisters love Johnny Depp and Tim Burton (Beetlejuice is another movie they use) and so use many of their movies.

Other characters they use are Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd (starring Johnny Depp and Helen Bohem Carter), Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi from Star Wars, Doc and Marty McFly from Back to the Future, Ed Wood and Dolorus from Ed Wood (staring Johnny Depp), Ichabod Crane from Sleepy Hallow (staring Johnny Depp and directed by Tim Burton), Sam and Joon from Benny and Joon (staring Johnny Depp), Napolean Dynamite, James M. Barrie from Finding Neverland (staring Johnny Depp), and of course, Jack Sparrow and Will Turner from Pirates of the Caribbean (also staring Johnny Depp).

A great list of characters, yes?

I think so. They mix them seamlessly in a crazy plot surrounding Jack and Will trying to get back to their own time. They go to Vegas, Sweeney Todd's London, chased and almost killed by the Termanator, and all with the help of Doc and his time traveling DeLorean.

To be honest, I can't remember how I came across this but I do know this, it's amazing. These two sisters are amazing actors with incredible costumes and make-up (courtesy of Hannah Hindi) and sets and locations around Vegas.

Recently, they have done two parodies, one for the highly acclaimed movie Twilight and another for top box office grossing film The Dark Knight. Both include popular songs and are in a music video form, spoofing the movies in a creative way.

I recommend this show to anyone who likes Johnny Depp, likes good acting, good sets, make-up and costumes or anyone who would appreciate a job well done.

What do this sisters have in store? Well, hopefully episode 16 of their show or maybe another parody. But which ever it is, I know I will love it.

Prolonged Camping Trip

SPOILER ALERT!
If you have not read HP & DH, please do not read on.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Harry Potter and the Prolonged Camping Trip

I do love this book. So much happens in it. And you learn a lot.

But the fact that most of the book takes place in a tent... yeah.

Don't get me wrong, I find nothing wrong with this book. It's just a little much. They could have went on more adventurey like stuff.

I keep contradicting myself. I love the book. Final answer.

Why Harry Annoys Me

SPOILER ALERT!!!
If you have not read HP & HBP, do not read on.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Why Harry annoys me.

Harry is obsessed with Draco Malfoy.

Harry thinks that Draco is up to something. Ok, great. Tell an Order member, tell Dumbledore. Don't go following him around school. He's always talking about him, what he might be doing. When I first read the book, I was waiting for the moment when Harry professed his undying love for Draco. No, really. It's ridiculous. He was right in the end, Draco was doing something. Fixing the Vanishing Cabinet so he could get the Death Eaters into Hogwarts. But come on! Harry almost missed a Quidditch match to see where he was going.

Harry, I love you, I really do but this is out of hand. What Draco Malfoy is doing is not that important. I know you're the Hero type, gotta save the world, even if you don't realize it. But don't make your #1 fan, Dobby the House-Elf and your own House-Elf, Kreacher, tale Draco and give you reports! Seriously!

Ok, moving on.
