The official birthday interview with Tokio-Bill

“There’s no point in all this f***ing around”
By Mark Pittelkau

Today, Germany’s most famous twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz from Tokio Hotel celebrate their 20th birthday!
In only four years they emerged from the Magdeburg student band to the world’s most successful German rock group, sold more than six million CDs, play sold-out tours all over the world.
BILD invited Bill Kaulitz to an intimate birthday interview. The rock star talks about:

His mirror image:
In the morning, I don’t look into the mirror and say: “Wow, you’re a hot bastard!”. I have a normal relationship to my face and my body. I feel fine.

His slim figure :
I eat almost exclusively unhealthy stuff and order one pizza after the other. I just don’t get fat. I have to disappoint you, I don’t throw up in order to be so slim.

His money:
We’re well off, but we aren’t multi-millionaires, as many think. We pass up a lot of money. I refused 90% of the advertising contracts that were offered to us, because I thought that either the brands or the products were crap. I only wanna do things I myself find good.

His luxury goods:
I spend lots of money on holidays – actually it’s already sick and completely over the top. But since I go on vacation so seldom, I want to really indulge myself there.

His status symbols:
For my school graduation I bought myself a Rolex, although I’m not interested in watches at all. I just thought it was funny to have a Rolex at 18. Completely idiotic, actually.

His sex life:
I don’t have a girl-friend and sex without love is nothing for me. My brother can waste his time on that. Some day, he’ll realize that all this f***ing around won’t bring him anything.

His preferences:
I dig beautiful hands. I always look to the hands first. And eyes are very important. I don’t care about the hair color at all.

His solitude:
When I’m alone in my hotel room after a concert, I sometimes don’t know what to do with myself. Then suddenly everything’s so quiet.

His bed-fellows:
My four dogs sleep with me in my bed. I could never do without them. The closer they are to me, the nicer it is. I only can advise everyone: Take your dogs with you to bed!

His feelings:
I have to admit, there are movies that make me cry, for example: “The notebook”. Probably many are thinking now: “Ha, we knew it: The *** cries when he’s sitting in front of the TV.”

His flaws:
I think I can be wearisome. Sometimes I’m pretty harsh in what I’m saying. Then I think afterwards, I could have kept my mouth shut.

The end of his career:
After my vocal chord surgery last year I had the urge to just walk away from everything. I thought: O God, I never want to hold my face in cameras ever again. But for me there’s only music. If I had to start a job training now, I wouldn’t know in what area.

His fears:
Generally, I’m afraid that something could happen to a person that’s close to me. I also couldn’t bear it if anything would happen to one of my dogs.

His daily schedule :
I’m a complete night person. During the album production I was most of the time in the studio till six in the morning, and then only got up again in the afternoon. Usually the only places I see of this world are airports, hotels and our venues.

His daily routine:
I haven’t been shopping by myself in years. I can’t remember when I was last in a super market. I don’t even know anymore the price of a piece of butter. You definitely can’t call my life normal any more.

His birthday:
Tom and I want to celebrate in private with friends and family. In addition, we want to rent a roller coaster place for the night. We haven’t been on a roller coaster forever. We love sh** like that.
